MC has been NOTHING but professional. A number of concerns of the game's warfare mechanics have come into question if nothing more to hear the DEV ideas about them. The fact that they had the b@llz to field motherships on stations AND gates in multiple systems says a lot about where money is spent and the reputation they have. Nothing... but... respect. As always <3
LV showed up in a morale busting, grand appearence that when you look at it... was magestic. Nothing the likes atleast I have seen and I was hit by judgement. Obviously I was a good girl all year since I lived. Santa <3
AAA joining may seem like desperation but it was bound to happen. We are allied with a lot of their freinds. We fought them side by side AXE, not as much as we'd like to have, and we fight their raiders from time to time. Despite what people say people like creamster and his raiding crew provide good fights. When they kill stuff... I can sell another ship or modules. YARR. We have respect for AAA and the Ragoons and like how they treat their freinds... its not a business or a dictator ship. It is family. That is why my corp joined IAC and why I like Ragoons.
Lets not let the thread derail into a Fix/AAA flaim fest or 'MC lost again rabble.'
We love the attention, we love the pew pew and we like clusterfarks. We started wanting pew pew and got something much, much more escalated. As ISS saying through their allies that they were only here to take F4 I have to ask why they put nearly every POS in Jby and 1 in G-7 into reinforced mode. What they got was something they and their allies and mercs didn't want. We didn't want POS war. They don't want to fight an IAC with AAA in their corner. What happens next is what popcorn was invented for.
Props for a civil post with a meaningful contribution.
From what we have seen in the threads related to this conflict, there are a lot of calcified opinions out there about a number of organizations based on past histories and conflicts. There are some people in this game that cast a judgment with a finality and rigidity that, while it ennobles them to give us bright, blazing flames in the forums, dramatically limits their political and military options down the road.
From my perspective, the entities that survive are the ones that have a very short memory. If you hold grudges or get locked into a way of thinking about who your friends and enemies are, pretty soon you have none of the former and all of the latter, and when there are no demons to slay outside, the organization turns within. A good example is IAC setting aside its previous conflict with AAA - there are clear dividends for them now. There are a lot of parties involved that face a similar turning point. As mercs, it is part of our identity to submit loyalties and emnities with the bill and move on, so by nature we have to take this to an extreme. We could just as easily be working for someone next week that we're shooting this week. But it is still true for other entities to a lesser extent as well, and it will be fascinating to see who shows that ability and who doesn't.
Should be a very interesting week once you sort through all the smack and trolling sure to come ...
